Switch in an afternoon

Bring your whole business with you

Switching estimating apps shouldn't mean retyping your price list or losing years of customers. Export a CSV from your current tool and BidVoice's Switch Kit maps your price book, your customers, and your job history for you — free, and nothing touches your old account.

No data deleted from your current tool · No retyping · Free to import

What comes with you

The two things you built and shouldn't have to rebuild.

💲 Your price book

Export your items and prices from your current tool as a CSV, drop it in, and BidVoice maps the columns for you — item, unit, price. Your rates come with you, so a bid you build here reads like the one you'd build anywhere.

📇 Your customers & job history

Bring your customer list and past jobs over as a CSV. They land as archived records — not clutter on your active board — so your history is searchable and, when you're ready, those past customers become a standing source of repeat work.

How switching works

Four steps, and your old tool is left exactly as it was.

Step 1
Export from your current tool
Most estimating and field-service tools — Jobber, Housecall Pro, Joist, ServiceTitan, or a spreadsheet — let you export your customers and your price list to a CSV file from their own dashboard. That file is yours to take with you.
Step 2
Drop the file into Switch Kit
In BidVoice, open Switch Kit and upload the CSV. It reads your column headers and matches them to the right fields automatically, whatever they're named. You see a preview of exactly what will import before anything is saved.
Step 3
Confirm and you're moved
Confirm the preview. Your price book becomes your item list; your customers and past jobs land as archived records you can search. Nothing is changed in your old tool — this is a copy, on your terms.
Step 4
Turn your old book into new work
Once your customers are in, you can send a simple reactivation invite — one message that gives each past customer their own private hub to request their next job. Your history stops being a filing cabinet and starts sending you leads.

Switching questions, answered

The things contractors ask before they move — answered straight.

How do I switch from Jobber (or Housecall Pro, Joist, ServiceTitan) to BidVoice?

Export your customers and your price list from your current tool to a CSV file — every major estimating and field-service app has a self-serve export in its dashboard — then open Switch Kit in BidVoice and upload it. Switch Kit maps your columns automatically and shows you a preview before saving. Your old account is untouched; you're just bringing a copy of your data with you.

How do I export my customers from my current estimating app?

In most tools you'll find it under Settings, Reports, or a Customers/Clients list with an Export or Download CSV option. Export your customer list (name, email, phone) and, if it's offered, your job history. Confirm the exact steps on your current vendor's help site — then bring that CSV straight into BidVoice's Switch Kit.

Can I import my price book into BidVoice?

Yes. Export your items and prices as a CSV and Switch Kit maps them to your BidVoice item list — item name, unit, and price. You don't have to name your columns a certain way; it reads the headers you already have and matches them. You get a preview of every row before anything is saved.

Will I lose my job history or my customers when I switch?

No. Your past customers and completed jobs import as archived records — searchable, kept out of your active board so they don't create clutter. Nothing is deleted from your previous tool; Switch Kit copies your data in, it never touches the source.

Is there a fee to import my data or switch?

No. Importing your price book and your customers with Switch Kit is part of getting set up — there's no charge to bring your own data in. For a full white-glove move, BidVoice offers a Concierge onboarding where the migration is done for you, but the self-serve import is free.

What happens to my old customers after I import them?

They become a standing source of repeat work. Once your customers are in BidVoice, you can send a reactivation invite that gives each of them their own private hub to request their next job — so your existing book, the people who already hired you, starts generating new leads instead of sitting in a spreadsheet.

Do I have to enter my price list by hand?

No — that's the whole point of Switch Kit. Upload the CSV you already have and it does the mapping. Hand-entry is always available if you'd rather, but you shouldn't have to retype a price book you've already built.

What file format does BidVoice import?

A CSV (comma-separated values) file — the standard export every estimating tool, CRM, and spreadsheet can produce. If you can get your data out as a CSV, Switch Kit can read it and map the columns for you.
